With so many options in our lineup, let's discuss some of our most popular products.

Weight Lifting Pads

These are low-odor, recyclable, and are favored for their durability. These are strong and dense. Thicker units deliver more high-impact protection. Much of our residential and commercial weight room flooring is made in the USA and comes with 5- to 15-year warranties.

When choosing a weight mat, pick from those ranging from 0.25 to 1.5 inches thick. They are also offered in a range of colored options.

Consider the following benefits:
  1. Extremely durable and ideal for busy locations
  2. Excellent choices for protecting the subfloor
  3. Shock absorption and force distribution properties
  4. A range of color selections ensures a customized appearance
  5. Warranties range between 5 and 15 years, allowing customers to buy with confidence

If you're looking for a commercial gym flooring option, we have plenty to pick from.

Choose from nine different colors or alternate colors to generate an eye-catching pattern. Consisting of durable SBR (styrene butadiene rubberized) material, these are good mats for dropping weights safely. One of the major benefits of these is how easily they can be installed. The 2x2 foot pieces are sized so that they are easy to carry, and their interlocking design creates a seamless look that won't pull apart. There is no adhesive required for installation, and this tile creates a clean, professional appearance. It's ideal for both professional and residential installations.

Interlocking weight room flooring does not require adhesives. These reduce the amount of waste when cutting to fit spaces for a wall-to-wall layout in comparison to the installation of a roll.

Larger 3x3 foot segments are helpful when covering larger areas since these larger tiles have fewer seams.

Rolls are our most economical custom weight room flooring. Starting at just over $1 per square foot, these rolls are perfect for large-scale installations. Each roll comes in 4-foot widths and is available in lengths up to 50 feet, so they are a great general-purpose option. Add mats on top in areas that may need extra protection.

Ours are available in 20 different color fleck options to customize the appearance of the facility. Choose from 1/4- and 1/2-inch thicknesses to suit the weightlifters’ needs. Additionally, a 10-year warranty allows for a confident investment.

The UltraTile Weight Pads are 1 inch thick and American-made. This is available in four premium colors and has a recycled tire base with a virgin rubberized top designed to be highly durable for years of use. This features easy-to-use dowel rod fastening systems and a pedestal underside, which keeps cables and wires secure and hidden.

Designed to coordinate with leading fitness equipment, these will enhance the look of the facility while providing a suitable workout spot for a weight trainer to work. Offering excellent noise absorption, these rubber gym flooring mats are a frequent choice for any facility that sees high traffic.

Foam Subflooring for Workouts

Foam can also be a great choice for weight room flooring. It is softer and yields more of a cushion for a comfortable surface that many people prefer.

A foam floor surface offers many benefits:
  1. Cushioned foam floor tiles provide superior comfort
  2. Shock absorbency that’s suitable for workouts that include jumping
  3. Lightweight and easier to handle for small, DIY installs

FAQ Weight Room Flooring Q&A

What are the best floors for workouts?
Rubberized segments have excellent protection thanks to their 1” thickness. They often feature an easy pin together installation, yielding a tough workout and training spot. These are slip resistant in wet and dry conditions, making them ideal for safe workout spaces.

Is it safe to put a home gymnasium upstairs?
Yes, as this is a great use for a spare bedroom or attic space that doesn’t see much use otherwise. However, because most spare bedrooms have carpeting, consider adding other types of flooring over the top, which will feel better as the base for exercising, while also dampening noise, which can be a problem with gymnasiums on upper levels of the house.

Can you put weight room floor mats upstairs?
In areas where barbells will be intentionally dropped, a bare minimum of 3/4'' thickness in weight mats is required to provide proper distribution of shocks. These weightlifting mats offer superior noise and shock-absorbing properties, and they are set up to withstand heavy-duty impact for years.

Is EVA foam good for gymnasium subflooring?
It's important to realize that foam won't withstand the same level of abuse as an Olympic weightlifting mat. Because of these qualities, this is more appropriate as a casual and recreational weight room floor. It is especially popular for prone exercises.

Are cork floors good for home gym mats for weights?
They can be, but we often recommend FlexeCork Interlocking Cork instead. This is set up as a weightlifting floor made to handle extreme use and abuse. These absorb shocks and consist of cork and recyclable tires. With a non-skid surface, these incorporate the natural insect-repellent and antimicrobial properties of cork. Measuring 3’x3’ and 1/2'' thick apiece, these have interlocked edges for quick installs, while being easy to clean. There's no glue required, and they create an aesthetically pleasing design statement.
