Outdoor Rubber Flooring

For outdoor recreational areas, nothing substitutes for quality . These products are designed to weather the elements and sunlight that comes with consistent outdoor use. Soften your hard surface and create a great place to relax with outdoor rubber flooring. Outdoor rubber flooring can transform a hard, unforgiving surface into a comfortable area ideal for entertaining. Our rubber flooring for outside use is available in both outdoor rubber mats and outdoor rubber tiles. Use outdoor rubber flooring directly over concrete patios, wooden decks, terraces, or similar hard surfaces. These products are designed to stay in place and to provide comfort and a great look for a variety of applications.

Deck and patio tiles can either be attached with pins or clips or you can choose to glue them down. Rubber tiles eliminate the need for staining or sealing the floor of your deck or patio. The pin or clip option is great for people in apartments or temporary situations they plan to relocate from. Because they are not glued down, you can simply bring them with you when you move.

These outdoor rubber mats are available in a variety of different color options and thicknesses. These tiles are durable enough to handle lawn chairs and other outdoor furniture while maintaining a more comfortable and forgiving surface than wood or concrete. They provide a skid resistant surface even when wet. They are also comfortable to walk on even with bare feet.

Outdoor rooftop tiles are extremely popular in urban areas because they allow you to utilize more living space without building on to your home or needing to move to a larger apartment. These tiles are designed to allow for drainage and some even feature channels in the base of the tiles to accommodate electrical wiring. As with our deck top tiles, rooftop rubber mats feature a pin or clip connection system that makes installation a simple process. Rooftop outdoor rubber tiles are thicker and heavier than deck tiles so they can lie atop a fragile roof membrane without adhesive. This allows you to convert your seldom-used roof area into a comfortable outdoor retreat.

Some of these products are specifically built to provide fall height protection for playground areas. Determining the fall height requirements for your playground is a simple process. Just measure the distance from the highest standing platform to the ground. This distance is your fall height rating. We carry rubber tiles to accommodate 2 to 10 foot ratings. Perfect for areas where children will be playing on equipment, these outdoor rubber tiles provide a consistently safe landing area as opposed to wood chips or sand that can shift or move as the kids play. They also protect kids from any foreign objects or debris that can sometimes hide in loose fill.

Another advantage to outdoor rubber tiles or mats for playground areas is that they are relatively easy to replace. Should one of your tiles become damaged by high traffic, you can simply replace it. This is not a viable option for other surface types such as poured-in-place rubber.

With the exception of our Kids Ergo Matta, which can lay directly on dirt or grass, all outdoor rubber playground tiles must lay directly over concrete or a similar hard, level surface. Crushed stone will also work. All of these products are easy to clean with a broom and a garden hose. No special solvents or cleaners are necessary. You should also never need to seal or otherwise coat these outdoor rubber tiles. Pressure washers and some chemicals can actually damage your tiles so we recommend that you not use them with these products.

Although these mats and tiles are designed and marketed for various applications, they are generally quite flexible and can often be used in a variety of different ways. Depending on the product, you may be able to use you mats in daycare facilities, in fitness centers, health clubs, hockey arenas, golfing areas, and countless other places. Ask your customer service representative which product is best for you specific need.

We encourage you to ask your customer service representative about border pieces and ramps. Some of our outdoor rubber flooring comes with these options and some of our playground options include ADA ramps for wheelchair accessibility.
