ErgoDeck Tiles for Wet Areas

When working in an industrial, commercial, or retail location where liquid spills are common, having a perforated floor is an ideal design. Rather than forcing workers to stand in pools of water, our anti-fatigue mats with drainage holes allow the liquid to flow through to the subfloor efficiently.

By removing liquids from the surface of the tiles, workers will see a reduction in the potential for slips too.

Business owners can deploy these tiles in dry areas too. Spills of small solids and powdery materials will fall through the perforations, keeping them away from the soles of the shoes of people standing and working.

This allows people to continue working, rather than having to stop and sweep. The janitorial staff can wait to clean these powders after the normal workday ends. They only need to pick up the tiles to clean the subfloor.

Safe Interlocking Tile System

Our 18-by-18-inch tiles can go together in any configuration to cover the desired space in the work area. Connect dozens of tiles to cover a large squarish area, or create a long runway of connected tiles that yield protection at an assembly line or at a long countertop.

Each tile contains a highly durable interlocking system. Two sides of the tile have tabs, while the other two sides have slots. Installers can assemble and disassemble these tiles repeatedly without causing any damage to the interlock tabs.

The interlock system greatly simplifies installation. Businesses can cover a large space with multiple tiles in very little time.

Because all of the tiles carry the same interlock system, installers can swap out a damaged tile for a new one at any time. It is rare for damage to occur to the silicone-free PVC plastic tiles. Each mat delivers a limited lifetime warranty.

Having a sturdy interlock system for these tiles is important to protect the workers using the floor. Because our anti-fatigue mats with drainage holes stay together when placed under stress, workers do not have to worry about the floor pulling apart, which would create a fall hazard.

As a final safety feature, installers can order an optional yellow safety border to attach to the mat layout. This border has a gradual ramp, reducing the possibility of a trip hazard on the 7/8-inch thick ErgoDeck mat. These border edges use the same interlocking system as the main mats, ensuring a tight fit.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning these anti-fatigue mats with drainage holes on a regular basis will lengthen their lifespan. These tiles work in either a dry or wet environment, so regular cleaning may be necessary to remove the different kinds of soils you could encounter.

To remove dry debris, sweep the mats on a daily basis. Much powdery dry debris should fall through the large perforation holes to the subfloor, which creates a safer, slip-free environment.

For wet spills, the perforated holes ensure that the liquids fall through to the subfloor. The slightly raised pattern on the underside of the tiles will encourage water and spilled liquids to flow toward a floor drain.

To clean a wet spill on these mats, the manufacturer recommends using a high-pressure hose that does not exceed 500 psi. Mix warm water with mild soap or a neutral pH cleaner to remove soil. Avoid using degreasers or caustic chemicals on the interlocking tiles.

Do not use a steam cleaner or a washing machine on these mats.

This product is made from 80% post-industrial recycled material.

Since July 2023 this product is now sold by the case instead of individual tiles.
