By using darker colors throughout the construction of the entrance mat, it will hide soils and dirt better than a light colored mat.

Additionally, the poly fibers are resistant to stains and sun fade, which helps the mat retain its like-new look for longer.

Small Size Anti-Skid Runner

Beyond our 4x8 foot ribbed rug, we have custom cut sizes of this chevron entryway mat, including some smaller options and some that will work as long entryway runners.

This style of scraper mat is highly beneficial for almost any building looking to cut down on tracked-in soils, so having multiple sizes available is helpful.

By using a bi-level design in the fiber height, dirt and debris will naturally fall through to the bottom layer of the utility runner, hiding them from view. Visitors will continue to see the sharp looking colors and herringbone pattern, rather than extra dirt and soils.

Along the top of the mat is a textured, bi-level polypropylene fiber layout. The texture and the makeup of the fibers will encourage visitors to scrape their shoes on the mat. Even if visitors don’t stop and actively scrape their feet, just walking across the mat should pull some soils off the shoes.

This mat measures 3/8 inches in thickness, so it could create a tripping hazard for someone entering the building. The manufacturer added a low safety border around all four sides of the mat that reduces the possibility of tripping.

Anti-Slip Vinyl Backed Mat

The vinyl backing layer that our manufacturer placed on the back side of this entryway mat provides a couple of benefits.

First, the vinyl provides grip for the underside of the runner, meaning it should not slip out of place as people walk across it. This is a nice safety feature for visitors to the business, reducing the chance of a slip and fall accident on a wet day when people are tracking rain and snow into the building.

Second, as moisture falls between the fibers on the top of the mat, the vinyl layer catches the moisture. This keeps the moisture from leaking onto the subfloor underneath the mat, which can happen with an entrance rug that doesn’t have a water-resistant material as a base layer.

Maintenance and Care

When deploying our entryway ribbed rug 4x8 foot mat in a commercial building, it regularly will suffer exposure to soils and dirt tracked in from outdoors.

Fortunately, this mat delivers an easy-to-clean format, ensuring that businesses can keep it looking like new. No business wants an obviously soiled mat at its entrance, leaving visitors with a poor impression.

To perform daily cleaning on the mat during dry conditions, just run a vacuum cleaner over it. In an area with heavy foot traffic and a lot of tracked-in soils, consider running the vacuum more than once a day.

Use a powerful vacuum, as the bi-level positioning of the fibers will allow soils to fall to the lower level, requiring a little extra suction power to remove them.

For cleaning after a rainy or snowy day causes visitors to track in mud and moisture, businesses can clean the mats with wet extractor machine hardware. Some businesses may choose to have a professional cleaning company clean the mats weekly or a couple of times per month.

At the same time the business moves the ribbed rug mat for cleaning, it should clean the floor underneath, this will improve the anti-slip properties of the mat.
